The GRAMMY-nominated, multi-platinum performer is already a celebrity co-founder and shareholder of IPX, according to the company’s announcement. In the new role, Ja Rule will represent artists, athletes and creators on the platform and help write the framework for how they own and retain their intellectual property. IPX said he will also help shape how projects are financed and produced, while making sure fans have a place in the process. Ja Rule said his focus has long been on ownership, adding that he has seen what happens when artists do not control their work. IPX CEO and founder Brendan McCafferty said Ja Rule’s creative approach spans film, television, live streaming, music and animation, and matches the company’s goal of helping creators launch original projects and connect more directly with fans. IPX is based in Miami and describes itself as an agentic operating system for intellectual property and an onchain launchpad for IP.20
